TEAM COACHING:
True North Group Collaboration Coaching
OUR FOUNDATION
Our work with collaboration is grounded in the belief
that dyads and teams form the fundamental working unit of any competitive
organization; each member of a group might be highly capable, but competitive
advantages can only be achieved through collaboration. Our approach is
based in proven practical know-how, best practices in business and both
social and cognitive theory. Using True North Group’s conceptual
framework of a high performance team, we establish a relationship with
each client to craft a plan of action that helps them collectively move
ahead and achieve their goals.
OUR CLIENTS
Typically, our clients are well performing organizations or teams eager
to realize their full collective potential. They may be:
-
growing with a need to better leverage their inherent expertise for a
tangible competitive advantage,
- transitioning with a need for guidance as they
seek to achieve authentic change, or
- seeking to develop a culture of collaboration.
OUR PROCESS
Assessment
An
initial interview is conducted to consider goals, working styles, logistics,
and provide an introduction to True North Group’s capabilities.
- Individual and team assessment instruments
are administered when appropriate.
- Relevant performance documentation
will be reviewed as needed.
Goal setting
- Goals aligned with organizational objectives are established based
on assessment results.
- They are measurable, actionable and
observable
The work
- Sessions are hours to week long,
either on or off site (e.g., see TNG’s
Rowing Experience).
- The sessions provide opportunities for the client to discuss issues
and challenges they are facing and to acquire new skills to address
them.
- Clients are held accountable for commitments to coaching preparation
prior to sessions, practicing between sessions, and achieving the
agreed upon goals.
Evaluation and follow up
- Client evaluation of the process is conducted informally during
and after each session.
- A further formal evaluation is conducted at the close of
formal sessions.
- A follow up check-in session is scheduled
within two months of the last formal session.
